Mahalo Surf School – Varkala Had a great experience with Mahalo, especially with Asif. What stood out immediately was his approach - he actually asked for a video of my previous surfing before suggesting an intermediate session. That level of intent and personalisation is rare. He’s passionate about surfing, and it shows in how he teaches - clear, encouraging, and focused on helping you improve rather than just pushing you into waves. Small gestures like getting a quick pre-surf snack and checking in throughout the session made a big difference. Logistics were handled thoughtfully too, he coordinated a drop back via his friend Charlie, which really helped after the session. Overall, a very genuine setup run by people who truly care about surfing and their students. Would definitely recommend Mahalo if you’re in Varkala May the waves be in your favour 🤙🏿

I highly recommend Mahalo surfing school in Varkala enough—myself and my five-year-old son had the best experience. They made our whole vacation worth it. If you’re visiting Varkala and even thinking about surfing, get in touch with them. They know how to give you and your child a safe, fun, unforgettable session on the water. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be surfing with them again.

Absolutely loved my experience at this surf school. The instructor Jensen was excellent — very professional, supportive, and made sure everyone was comfortable in the water. He broke down the techniques well and kept motivating us throughout. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting to try surfing!

During my initial surfing lessons, I was absolutely thrilled with my choice of instructors. The staff members were incredibly warm and welcoming, making sure to engage with each and every beginner. My experience in Varkala with them was truly the best start to my surfing journey.

Had such a great 1-day surfing experience in Varkala! The early morning waves were perfect, the water was amazing, and the views made it even more special. The instructors were incredibly patient, friendly, and supportive throughout the session, which made learning so much fun. Definitely recommend this experience if you’re in Varkala!
