Elixir Surf School, Varkala is hands down one of the best surf experiences I’ve had, especially as an intermediate surfer. The level of professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine care for every surfer’s growth is outstanding.
A special shoutout to Kichu, my surf coach — his guidance, clarity, and calm confidence in the water made a huge difference to my progression. He knows exactly when to push you, when to pause, and how to help you level up safely and confidently.
Massive appreciation as well to Kiwi, Sha, Raju and Vignesh— each one of them brings incredible professionalism, warmth, and deep surf knowledge to the experience. From water safety to encouragement between sets, they truly make you feel supported and respected as a surfer.

From the moment we arrived, Kiwi and the team made sure we were properly warmed up and comfortable before hitting the waves. Their professionalism really stood out, but what impressed us even more was their passion for teaching surfing. It was infectious!
We went as a group of nine friends, all complete first-timers, and the instructors were incredibly patient, encouraging, and fun. They made sure everyone felt confident, safe, and most importantly, had a great time. No one was left behind, and the energy was just amazing throughout the session.
And yes… we popped up! 😄 Just like they say — “Shaka", let’s go!”

I tried surfing for the first time in Elixir Surf - and it was absolutely amazing! I was really nervous since I'd never stood on a board before, but everything went surprisingly smoothly and was so much fun.
The instructors are incredible people: kind, responsive, and true professionals. They explained everything in detail and clearly, patiently helped at every stage - from theory on the shore to practice in the water. They encouraged me, joked around, and created such a warm and friendly atmosphere that any fear or awkwardness quickly disappeared.
I especially loved the group format. Between attempts to catch a wave, there was enough time to catch my breath and recover. For a beginner, that's a huge plus - fatigue didn't build up as quickly, and I was able to spend much more time in the water than I expected.
Thank you to the entire school team! I'll definitely come back again and recommend it to everyone - if you want to try surfing in a comfortable and positive environment, this is the place to go! Ps. Kichu and Kivin are the best!

Me , my wife and my 8yr old son had an absolutely fantastic time at Elixir Surf School! As a complete beginner, we were a little nervous at first, but the instructors made everything so easy and fun. They patiently explained the basics — from balancing on the board to catching the first wave — and gave personal tips to help everyone improve quickly.
The team’s energy and passion for surfing are infectious. They make sure safety comes first while still keeping the session exciting and full of laughs. Within the first hour, we were already standing up on the board and riding small waves — something we didn’t think we could do that fast!
The vibe at Elixir is amazing — friendly people, beautiful beach, and a perfect setup for beginners. You don’t just learn to surf; you feel the ocean, the rhythm, and the pure joy of the sport.
